Chinese Daoist philosopher Zhuangzi has a different explanation. He thinks that the mode of our communication: language, inherently possesses limitations. We can only go so far in relaying our thoughts and ideas, and to go any further would be fruitless.

Language has its limitations. I have found the visual language of color and form to be useful for conveying that which words cannot. But I love the written word so much, that this thorny puzzle is a tangle worth unraveling.
